It's Christmas Time

Christmas is finally here. I love Christmas and have been getting ready since Thanksgiving it feels like. My radio station in my car has been on the Christmas station since Thanksgiving. I love listening to the music and singing to Colton. :) I know it might seem funny, but I think Colton loves Christmas too because when I put the Christmas music on and start singing he starts moving all around. Our Christmas tree has actually been up since before Thanksgiving. When our niece Lilly comes over she loves when we turn the Christmas lights on. She gets all excited and says "Pretty Tree." It has been so hard not to buy tons of stuff for Colton for Christmas when I'm out shopping. I have bought a couple of things though.

My belly is getting bigger, which means Mr. Colton is growing like crazy. Its so amazing watching my belly move more and more. I haven't been sleeping very good, but at least I can stay at home and relax. I can't wait for Colton to be here, so that next Christmas we can watch Christmas movies together. I was watching one of the old Christmas movies the other night, the one where the characters are clay-like and Chris started making fun of me. I told him it reminded me of growing up and always watching the old Christmas movies together with my family. I can't wait to make special memories like this of our own. Putting out cookies for Santa and carrots for the reindeers. I can't wait!

Here is a video of my belly moving. Look close at the very beginning, to the left side near my belly button.

Lots of Moving

Sunday morning was the first time Chris and I got to see my belly jump. Little Colton Allen was moving all over and Chris didn't have to worry about putting his hand on my belly because he was able to see Colton make my belly jump. It was one of the most amazing moments. I just started laughing, so hard. The kicks are getting stronger each day. I'll be sitting in class and Colton will start moving all around in my belly. I have to try my hardest to not laugh out loud. Sometimes I can put my hand on my belly and feel him move from the bottom of my belly to the top of my belly. He likes to stay in the right side of my belly. It almost feels like he is trying to get to my back.

I'm 23 weeks and for the most part I feel great, but sometimes I do feel miserable when it comes to my belly feeling so tight or sorry I know this might be a little bit to much info, but when my breast feel like they are about to bust out of my bra. I just bought two new Victoria Secret bras and I should have got one bigger than the other. I just can't believe I'm having to think about buying a D size bra. WOW! I feel miserable just thinking about it. What am I going to do when my milk comes in?

Friday, December 3rd Chris and I got to meet our second niece, Jayden Cooper Caudle. We actually got there a few minutes before Kayla had to start pushing, so we waited in the waiting room. We were only there for no more than 30 minutes and it was time to go see little Jayden. She has lots beautiful black hair and her eyes were wide open. She has her Daddy's feet. After we left that night Chris said he couldn't wait to see little Colton now. We just can't wait to see what he will look like. It's so exciting thinking about our little boy. I almost cry everytime I think about it.

A Couple Days In Paradise

Daddy's Hands
For Thanksgiving this year Chris and I were able to get away and go to the beach. We finally got to the room Wednesday night and went right to bed once we got in the room. Thursday morning we got up and had breakfast at the hotel's restaurant, which was amazing. I had blueberry pancakes that were huge!! The weather was absolutely amazing. I didn't take any shorts with me, so after we got done eating we went to Wal-Mart and got me some shorts. We came back to the hotel and went and walked the beach and laid out for a little while.

Later that day we had Thanksgiving dinner at the hotel and then went and watched the movie Burlesque. Right before the movie started Colton started dancing in my belly. Chris was able to feel him again and he said the kicks were getting stronger. The movie was one of the best movies I have watched lately. I wanted to get up and start dancing with the movie. :) What made it even better is that Chris loved the movie too. The movie made me miss dancing sooo bad. I 'm still able to teach dance, but I sure can't do what I could last year. Who knows I might pull a Cher and bring it back come recital time. :)

Momma and Colton
Friday we woke up and had a great breakfast again. We went and did a little bit of shopping before the Bama game. The weather was great again. It was in the upper 70s. We ended up watching the game in the room and got a pizza. Saturday and Sunday the weather got cold and windy. The first half of Saturday we did nothing, but lay around in the room and watch t.v. Later that day we were able to take some pictures on the beach.

It was great to spend some quality time with my Hubby. The number one thing I enjoyed to most is just laughing about crazy stuff the whole time we were there. I think we spent most of the time just laughing at each other.

A Time For Giving Thanks!

The past week has been filled with tons of excitement! From finding out that we are having a baby boy to Chris finally getting to feel Colton kick. Last Wednesday I went to see Chris and get some lunch at The Pit. While I was there Colton started to do flips and turns in my belly. It must have been the BBQ Chris said. :) Once Chris put his hand on my belly it took a few seconds before he felt the little movement. He was amazed at the feeling of Mr. Colton. I told Chris just wait until it gets stronger. I was so excited that he finally got to feel him move. Not only did Chris get to feel Colton move for the first time, but so did my Mom and Shelley. All three have felt him move right after I have eaten. Colton goes crazy while I'm eating. He also starts moving when his Dad gets up for work at 2:45 in the morning. I told Colton it's not time for him to go to The Pit yet. :)

I have so much in my life right now to be thankful for. From having a wonderful Mom and Dad, to a great sister and soon to be Aunt, to an amazing and loving Husband, and now a blessing of a baby boy. Also to mention the wonderful family and friends that mean so much to our little family. WOW! What more can I ask for...simple nothing.

Mr. Colton Allen

Today was filled with tons of happiness! I'm so tired after today too! The day started off by me having to go to school at 7:00 and getting done around 8:00. Then I went to pick Chris up from work and we got to the doctor's off around 8:50. I was soooo worried that my parents and sister weren't going to make it on time because they were stuck in traffic. We got called back and they still hadn't made it there. I was really worried. Luckily they made it just in time and they had the DVD with them too.

Once she put the DVD in she went right to his little bottom to see if she could find out. He was a very good boy today. Once she said "Yep yall are having a little boy" Mom and Dad started hugging each other and Chris and I gave each other a high-five. Mom started saying how she was right and I felt so good because the whole time I just had this feeling that he was a boy, but didn't want to say anything cause I didn't want to look like a weirdo if he wasn't. :) Afterwards I told Chris were are probably the only couple that would give each other high-fives after finding out what their baby is. :) It was funny. Chris said that at first he couldn't see anything, so it was a little confused. I knew Chris was a little nervous because he stayed sitting down the whole time. Once we got in the car he couldn't stop smiling and talking about our little boy.

Overall, it was a day filled with tons of smiles. We are truly blessed!!! I have to give all the glory to the Lord because he has taken care of our little boy and we couldn't be more happy just to have a healthy baby.

Another Day Closer

So I've started to understand this blog thing I little better. I took some pictures of some things that I have for the baby's room so far. We haven't really done a lot cause we are waiting until we find out what the baby is. No matter if its a girl or boy we are going with a "Safari"  theme. I have a bedding set picked out and it actually comes in boy colors or girl colors and its also safari theme.

We went and ate at Outback last night and the whole time we were there the baby was going crazy in my belly. I started laughing and Chris was like "What's so funny" and I told him the baby was excited cause Momma was eating. :) He told me last night that for some reason he is actually wanting a girl now, which is funny when you would think he would want a boy and I would want a girl. Its actually the other way around. He wants a girl and I want a boy. Either way we just want a health baby.

I've had lots of people say its probably a girl because the heart rate was 176 on the first visit and then I have lots of people that say boy because I'm carrying low. I haven't put any weight on around my hips. The only place that I've put weight on is just my belly.

Looking forward to Monday at 9:00. We go to find out what our little blessing is. Can't wait to share our joy with our family and friends.
